Kindness and community spirit is valued here at Puss in Boots! In spite of the panic buying, toilet paper brawls and general confusion, Covid-19 has triggered an outpouring of generosity and kindness among some Australians, especially towards the elderly and vulnerable.
Puss In Boots Morningside Early Childhood Learning Centre believe showing care and love at an individual and community level can help us get through this uncertain time. So, it’s more important than ever to be kind and stay connected. Most importantly, it’s times like these we must keep a look out for our neighbours. In spite of the worry and social isolation, a random act of kindness may be all that is needed to bring a smile to someone’s face.
Our children have been busy creating paintings and drawings to send to our neighbours. Also included in this package is a positive-message fridge magnet. We hope to bring a little light and joy to our neighbours day!
Our Educators have been walking around our local community, delivering envelopes to each house. Social isolation can be lonely and we hope our gifts will make our neighbours feel thought-of and less alone.
We look forward to creating many more and brightening as many days as we can. We are a little community with big hearts and we should all be so proud. Kindness and community spirit goes a long way.
We’re all in this together!
