National Quality Standard
The National Quality Standard (NQS) sets a national benchmark for the quality of education and care services and includes seven quality areas that are important to outcomes for children.

Quality Improvement
Ongoing self-assessment against the NQS drives continuous improvement and is essential to Puss in Boots Morningside Early Childhood Learning Centre providing quality outcomes for children. Our Quality Improvement Plan (QIP) identifies areas for improvement and includes a statement of our Philosophy.
Our QIP:
- includes an assessment of the programs and practices at the service against the National Quality Standard and National Regulations
- identify areas for improvement
- include a statement about the service’s philosophy.
- Documents and celebrates the service’s strengths.
Equity, Inclusion & Diversity Underpin the National Quality Framework
Our Educators recognise all children’s capacity and right to succeed regardless of diverse circumstance, cultural background and abilities. Inclusion is acknowledged as an approach where diversity is celebrated. Our educators hold high expectations for the learning and development of all children, and recognise that every child treads an individual learning path and will progress in different and equally meaningful ways.
In recognising each child’s experiences of learning and development, educator’s implement responsive, equitable, individualised opportunities and additional support if barriers to success are identified.
