With our early learning philosophy of fostering a child’s development through experiences, we expose our preschool children to abundant learning opportunities involving nature, literacy, numeracy, emotional development, social engagement, confidence-building, learning through play and so much more. Whether they are with us for one day a week or five, your child will be sure to experience something new every day.

Morningside Preschool Educators

Our early childhood educators are dedicated to preparing your child for the ever-changing nature of our world. We know that they need a wide range of skills and a solid sense of self before their school years. The preschool year cements these skills through play-based learning. Guided by qualified educators and teachers, the curriculum builds on children’s interests. This way, we can provide children with a purposeful and engaging program in the year prior to entering our Morningside Kindergarten Program.

Preschool Program Objectives

The Puss In Boots Morningside Preschool Program aims are to:

• Encourage self-help and independence in young children.
• Enhance the development of the whole child across the physical, social and emotional, language, cognitive and spiritual domains.
• Assist children to develop a positive self-image and self-efficacy.
• Encourage parent participation in the preschool environment.
• Provide an aesthetically pleasing environment that encourages learning in the young child.
• Create a safe, secure and nurturing physical and human environment.

• To acknowledge, value and celebrate each child’s individuality.
• Make available support to parents in relation to the child’s individuality.
• Include flexibility in the program that allows for individual needs of each child.
• Provide a developmentally appropriate program for three year old children based on the current national requirements for early years.

Through each of these we promote School readiness in our children and families.
