Our Morningside Nursery and Toddler rooms provide a warm, safe environment for your child. The rooms are well resourced, with caring and gentle educators who develop nurturing relationships with your children. We recognise the importance of maintaining your home routine to our best ability to ensure children’s daily transition into our care is always as smooth as possible.
It’s particularly important for babies and toddlers to develop secure attachments with educators who are caring and familiar. Our educators will also build a relationship with your family, with a focus on communication, mutual trust and respect. Each day there will be a written log of your child’s feeding, sleeping and toileting patterns so that you will be fully informed of your child’s day. As children develop, their achievements will be noticed and celebrated against The Early Years Learning Framework in their individual Learning Journals.
Educators provide children with a range of fun activities and play designed to help them discover themselves, establish friendships and acquire essential skills. Socialisation will be gently encouraged and guided to help relationships and empathy form. Your child’s growing independence is supported by caring educators who will help them take the first steps in toilet training. Our educators will communicate openly with you through conversations, as well as a daily record of your child’s eating, sleeping and toileting.

At this age, friendships and co-operative play skills develop rapidly. Our educational programs foster these peer interactions to extend your child’s learning. Rich learning environments are provided to encourage your child to explore and experiment safely. Educators work with each child to understand their development and extend them through achievable challenges. They also use resources and opportunities for children to begin exploring the use of symbols during play, a foundation for later literacy and numeracy skills.
